Assembly Job

Results Required from this Position:
Add value to the company by assembling fan components in to assemblies accurately and efficiently in accordance with current work instructions.

Applicant sign-up with local temporary agency. Successful applicants may be hired after 90 days by Multi-Wing America. Starting hourly rate is $12.50 per hour, free medical coverage and other benefits.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Lift and move, from one place to another, a maximum of 35 lbs. throughout the day.
  • Assemble fans in accordance with current work instructions.
  • Retrieve required components.
  • Visually inspect for non-conformity prior to assembling.
  • Inspect and record critical dimensions.
  • Print part number labels as needed.
  • Complete all inspection forms accurately and legibly.
  • Promote an attitude of quality, teamwork and cooperation with co-workers.

Standards within the Position:

  • Have the ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Have the ability to identify components and assemblies.
  • Strive to become an expert in all aspects of assembly.
  • Have a working knowledge of the inspection process and tools.
  • Have a working knowledge of assembly tools.
  • Report any non-conformity using established procedures.
  • Keep work area organized so that all products in the area can be readily identified.
  • Have a working knowledge of the label printer.
  • Make recommendations for new procedures and tools to improve efficiencies.
  • Observe all policies established in the Multi-Wing Employee Handbook.

TRAINING: The act or process of imparting knowledge (Preparation, Instruction, Exercise).

  • Understanding of the part description format and recognition of the Multi-Wing components.
  • Use of assembly and inspection tools.
  • Visual inspection for non–conformities.
  • Use of the label maker machine.
  • General understanding of the Multi-Wing Quality Management System as it applies to Assembly.
  • Understanding of shop safety.

SKILLS: Natural or acquired facility in a specific activity: (Ability, Expertise, Knack, Mastery, Command)

  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Organizational skills, to organize work area to facilitate productivity.
  • Use of assembly tools.
  • Use of inspection tools.
  • Ability to work on your feet for at least 7 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and move, from one place to another, a maximum of 35 lbs. throughout the day.

EDUCATION: The condition of being made ready beforehand: (Cultivation, Schooling, Indoctrination, Drilling)

  • Reading (Capable of reading procedures).
  • Writing (able to complete inspection form legibly).
  • Math (addition & subtraction).
