Multi-Wing America announced that it has added more than 6,000 square feet of off-site warehouse space to accommodate the necessary inventory for its current orders for axial fans.

The new warehouse is located in a business park in Newbury, Ohio just minutes from the company’s manufacturing headquarters in Burton. The additional storage space allows Multi-Wing to stock more parts in the face of a steadily increasing demand dating back to the first quarter of 2010.As a manufacturer of custom engineered axial fans in the HVAC, refrigeration, and engine cooling markets, Multi-Wing America’s expansion is an outgrowth of the company’s popular engineering and service offerings, including expedited delivery.

“Our sustained increases in sales and production have created the opportunities that every business hopes for,” said Vice President of Purchasing John Crowley. ”We have warehouse space allocated in our headquarters and in an adjacent building that simply had to grow on pace with our axial fan orders. With the three large bays in the new warehouse, we will have approximately 12,000 square feet of storage off site in addition to our in-house capacity. The off-site facility is also linked to Tracker, our asset management software, so we have a seamless link that keeps production rolling. The warehouse staff scans the parts out of the inventory in Newbury, and our system updates in real time at the Burton headquarters,” Crowley said.

“The benefits of the new warehouse flow directly to our customers, because our increased capacity ensures the short lead times for all the axial fans that Multi-Wing is known for,” Crowley noted. “The Tracker system also helps keep costs under control, and our quick turnaround on custom axial fans is essential to our customers for two reasons. The most obvious benefit is that our ability to expedite an engineered fan in an emergency is vital in minimizing our customers’ down time. And from an administrative perspective, our ability to provide a custom product on short notice can reduce our customers’ inventory requirements and carrying costs,” Crowley said. “Something as simple as a new warehouse in Newbury creates significant added value for Multi-Wing customers straight down the line by keeping their people working while keeping their costs in check.”
